Installation and First Launch — Troubleshooting

Error: "Registration failed. Try again later"

Message: Registration failed. Try again later.

What it means: The server couldn't process the account creation request. This isn't related to anything you did — it's an infrastructure issue or a temporary glitch.

Possible causes:

  • A brief outage in the registration service
  • A network issue between your browser and the server
  • The email address is already in use (but the system didn't return an explicit error)

What to do:

  1. Wait 2–3 minutes and try again
  2. Check your internet connection — open any other website
  3. Try registering in incognito mode (Ctrl+Shift+N / Cmd+Shift+N)
  4. Use a different email address

Retry the run: yes

Reconnection required: no

When to contact support: If the error repeats more than 3 times within 15 minutes with different email addresses.

What to send: Time of the attempt, the email used, screenshot of the error.

Error: "Incorrect email or password"

Message: Incorrect email or password.

What it means: The credentials entered don't match any account in the system.

Possible causes:

  • A typo in the email or password
  • Caps Lock is on or the keyboard layout is wrong
  • The account was deleted or deactivated
  • A different email is being used than the one used at registration

What to do:

  1. Make sure Caps Lock is off and the layout is correct
  2. Click "Forgot password" and reset your password via email
  3. Check that you're using the same email as at registration
  4. Check the "Spam" folder — the reset email might have landed there

Retry the run: yes

Reconnection required: no

When to contact support: If the reset email doesn't arrive within 10 minutes, or if you're sure the data is correct but login still doesn't work.

What to send: Account email, time of the login attempt, screenshot of the error.

Error: "Page won't load. Check your internet connection"

Message: Page won't load. Check your internet connection.

What it means: The browser can't establish a connection with Lightlead's servers. Either there's an issue on your end, or the service is temporarily unavailable.

Possible causes:

  • Local internet issues
  • A corporate firewall or VPN is blocking access
  • The Lightlead service is temporarily unavailable
  • A browser extension is blocking requests

What to do:

  1. Open any other website — if it doesn't load either, the problem is with your internet
  2. Disable your VPN and try again
  3. Try opening Lightlead in incognito mode
  4. Temporarily disable ad blockers and other extensions
  5. Clear your browser cache and reload the page

Retry the run: yes

Reconnection required: no

When to contact support: If other websites work but Lightlead doesn't load for more than 5 minutes, and incognito mode doesn't help.

What to send: Error time, browser used and its version, screenshot of the error, whether you're using a VPN/proxy.

Error: "Session has expired. Log in again"

Message: Session has expired. Log in again.

What it means: Your session was automatically ended for security reasons. This is standard behavior — the system periodically requires you to log in again.

Possible causes:

  • You were inactive for a long time (usually more than 24 hours)
  • The session was reset during a backend update
  • Someone logged into your account from another device

What to do:

  1. Click "Log in" and enter your credentials
  2. Once logged in, work continues from where you left off
  3. If you suspect unauthorized access — change your password

Retry the run: no (the system restores context after login)

Reconnection required: no

When to contact support: If the session resets instantly after logging in, or if you suspect the account has been compromised.

What to send: Error time, frequency of session resets, screenshot.

Error: "Unsupported browser. Please use the latest version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge"

Message: Unsupported browser. Please use the latest version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge.

What it means: Your browser doesn't meet the minimum requirements for Lightlead to work correctly.

Possible causes:

  • You're using an outdated browser version
  • You're using an unsupported browser (e.g., Internet Explorer)
  • JavaScript or cookies are disabled

What to do:

  1. Update your browser to the latest version
  2. Use Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge
  3. Make sure JavaScript and cookies are enabled in your browser settings
  4. Don't use Internet Explorer — it isn't supported

Retry the run: yes

Reconnection required: no

When to contact support: If you're using an up-to-date version of a supported browser but the error persists.

What to send: Browser name and version, operating system, screenshot of the error.
