AI Action Confirmations

When performing actions that change data or settings, the AI assistant always asks for confirmation. This protects against accidental changes.

Which actions require confirmation

Always require confirmation

  • Refreshing a report — running an existing report
  • Creating a report — creating a new report via AI
  • Setting up an alert — creating or changing an alert
  • Changing a schedule — configuring automatic report refreshes
  • Deleting an alert — removing a configured notification

Don't require confirmation

  • Requesting metrics — reading data from sources
  • Comparing periods — analytics without changes
  • Attribution questions — performance analysis
  • Diagnostics — explaining changes

What a confirmation looks like

Example of confirming a report creation

You: Create a report with spend and clicks metrics for the last 7 days from Meta Ads

AI: A new report will be created with the following parameters:

  • Source: Meta Ads
  • Metrics: spend, clicks
  • Period: last 7 days
  • Name: (will be suggested automatically)

Continue?

You: Yes, name it "Spend + Clicks Weekly"

AI: The report "Spend + Clicks Weekly" has been created and started. Status: running.

Confirmation timeout

If you don't respond to a confirmation request within 5 minutes, the AI cancels the action and reports: "Action canceled due to timeout."

Canceling an action

You can always decline an action:

  • "No", "Cancel", "Don't do it", "Cancel that" — the action is canceled
  • "Change the parameters" — the AI will offer to adjust the request

Why this matters

  • Protection against accidentally creating/overwriting reports
  • Control over settings changes
  • Transparency: you always see exactly what will be done
