Default Currency
The default currency determines the units in which financial metrics are displayed. LightLead supports several scenarios for working with different currencies.
Ad account currency
Each ad account operates in its own currency. Meta Ads might be in USD, Google Ads in EUR, TikTok Ads in RUB. LightLead receives data in the account's currency.
CRM currency
CRM systems typically operate in a single currency (a CRM setting). LightLead receives deal amounts in the CRM's currency.
Conversion
If your workspace is configured to a currency different from the source's currency, LightLead does not automatically convert amounts. You'll see values in their original currencies.
Reason: exchange rates fluctuate, and automatic conversion could distort historical data.
Recommendation: set the workspace currency to match your main ad account's currency.
CPL/ROAS with mismatched currencies
If a single report combines data from sources in different currencies:
- CPL (Cost Per Lead): if cost is in USD but deals are in EUR — CPL will be incorrect
- ROAS: similarly incorrect when currencies differ
Solution:
- Use sources in a single currency within one report
- Or manually convert data in the Google Sheet using formulas
How different currencies are shown
- The currency is NOT explicitly shown in the value column
- The column header, or a separate type column, may indicate the source's currency
- To display currency in the Google Sheet, use cell formatting
