Installing in a Google Sheet

A LightLead workspace is inseparably linked to a specific Google Sheet. Here's how it works.

Before you start

  • You need a Google Sheet with edit permissions
  • LightLead must be installed as a Google Sheets add-on
  • You must be logged in to LightLead
  1. Open the Google Sheet you want to use
  2. Open LightLead: Extensions → LightLead → Open
  3. If the sheet isn't yet linked to a workspace — you'll be prompted to create a new one
  4. Click Create Workspace

Step 2: Service sheets

After creation, LightLead adds a [LL] service sheet to the spreadsheet. It contains:

  • Workspace ID
  • Integration metadata
  • Report statuses
  • Workspace settings

Important: don't delete, rename, or edit the [LL] sheet. Doing so can lead to data loss.

Limitations

  • One Google Sheet can be linked to only one workspace
  • You cannot move a workspace to a different spreadsheet without fully deleting and recreating it
  • The spreadsheet must be accessible to the Google Apps Script API

How to verify

  • A [LL] sheet appears in the spreadsheet
  • LightLead shows the home screen with the menu
  • The workspace settings display your Google Sheet's URL
