Account
Account is the third parameter of the builder. It defines the specific client account within a connection. This is especially important for Google Ads MCC accounts, where a single connection manages many child accounts.
Why account selection is needed
Some connections (for example, a Google Ads MCC) contain multiple accounts. Selecting an account narrows the data extraction scope down to a specific ad account.
Step-by-step instructions
1. View the list of accounts
After selecting a connection, the builder loads the account tree:
- Root account (MCC)
- Child accounts (clients)
If the connection contains only one account, it is selected automatically and this step can be skipped.
2. Select an account
Choose the account you need from the list. Pay attention to:
- Name — the account name as it appears in the ad account
- ID — the numeric identifier (for example, 123-456-7890 for Google Ads)
- Type — MCC, Client, Manager
3. Use multi-select (if available)
For some sources you can select several accounts at once. Selected accounts are marked with checkmarks and the data is combined into a single report.
4. Move to the next step
Click Next. The builder will load the list of entities available for the selected account.
How to verify
- Check that the correct account is selected by name and ID
- If several accounts are selected, make sure metrics are aggregated correctly
- If the account list is empty, check access permissions for the connection
MCC account specifics
- An MCC by itself contains no data — it only manages child accounts
- Selecting an MCC without a child account returns no data in the report
- In some integrations you can select the MCC and get aggregated data across all child accounts
