Daily schedule

A daily schedule runs the report once a day at a user-defined time. It's the standard cadence for regular reporting.

How it works

  • The run happens every day at the specified time (for example, 08:00)
  • If the time has already passed on the day you enable it, the first run happens the next day
  • Example: you enable it at 10:00, with a run time of 08:00 — the first run will be tomorrow at 08:00

Step-by-step instructions

1. Open the schedule settings

In the builder or on the report page, go to the Schedule section.

2. Choose the frequency

Select Daily from the dropdown.

3. Set the run time

Set a time in HH:MM format (for example, 08:00). Recommendations:

  • 06:00-08:00 — yesterday's data has almost certainly finished updating in most sources
  • 00:01 — right after midnight, yesterday's data may still be incomplete
  • 09:00-10:00 — by the start of the workday, the data is definitely up to date

4. Configure the timezone

Set the timezone used to calculate the run time correctly.

5. Configure missed-run behavior

  • Skip — a missed run isn't caught up
  • Run at the first opportunity — run as soon as the connection is restored

6. Enable and save

Turn on the toggle and click Save.

Specifics

  • Frequency: 1 run per day
  • Run time: any, set by the user
  • Recommended write mode: Append (accumulation), Replace (full snapshot for the period), or SoftRefresh (if there are manual columns)
  • Recommended date range: yesterday — stable data for the full previous day
  • Shift on a missed run: if a run is missed and catch-up is enabled, it runs at the first opportunity, but doesn't shift the schedule. The next run still happens as scheduled

When to use it

  • Daily team reports (a morning digest)
  • Accumulating historical data (a new snapshot every day)
  • Daily KPI monitoring
  • Budget control (preventing overspend within a day)

When NOT to use it

  • You need data more than once a day — use an hourly schedule
  • Data updates less than once a day — a daily run is unnecessary
  • The report is only needed at the end of the week/month — use a weekly schedule or a manual run
