Connection
Connection is the second parameter of the builder. It defines the specific ad account or analytics account that data will be pulled from.
What a connection is
A connection is an "integration + account" pair. For example, within the Google Ads integration you may have several connections — one for each Google Ads ad account.
Step-by-step instructions
1. Select a connection from the list
After choosing a source, the builder shows a list of all connections for that integration. Each connection is displayed with:
- A name (usually the account ID or a user-defined name)
- Account type (MCC, client, etc.)
- Status (active/inactive)
2. Check availability
Active connections are highlighted in green. Inactive ones are shown in gray with a "token refresh required" label. An inactive connection cannot be selected.
3. Use search (optional)
If there are many connections, use the search field above the list to search by name or ID.
4. Move to the next step
After selecting a connection, click Next. The builder will load the list of available accounts.
How to verify
- The selected connection should be active (green marker)
- Hovering over a connection shows the account ID and last sync date
- If the connection you need is missing, add it via the Integrations section
Managing connections
Adding and refreshing connections happens in the workspace's Integrations section, not in the builder. The builder only shows the connections that are already available.
