Output Sheet

Output Sheet is the target Google Sheets sheet the report writes data to. It defines the Spreadsheet (the file) and the Sheet (the specific tab within it).

Step-by-step instructions

1. Select a Spreadsheet

In the builder, go to the Output > Output Sheet section. Click Select spreadsheet. A list of available Google Sheets opens: spreadsheets LightLead has access to, workspace spreadsheets, and recently used ones.

2. Select a Sheet

After selecting a spreadsheet, specify the particular sheet: choose from the list of existing sheets, or enter the name of a new sheet — it will be created automatically on the first run.

3. Specify the starting cell (optional)

By default, data is written starting at cell A1. You can specify an offset, for example C5 — data will be written starting at column C, row 5.

4. Check access

Make sure LightLead has write permissions to the selected spreadsheet. If the spreadsheet doesn't appear, check that: the spreadsheet is shared with the LightLead service account, the service account has Editor rights, and the spreadsheet isn't blocked by corporate policies.

5. Grant permission (on first use)

The first time a new spreadsheet is accessed, the system will request access confirmation. This is a one-time operation.

How to verify

  • Run the report and open the target spreadsheet
  • Make sure the data appears on the specified sheet
  • Check that headers and data start at the expected cell
  • Check that existing data on the sheet isn't damaged

Important notes

  • One sheet can be used by several reports (if the write mode allows it)
  • The sheet name is case-sensitive
  • Special characters in the sheet name can cause errors — use letters, digits, and underscores
  • If the sheet is deleted manually, the report won't know about it until the next run, and will return an error
