Disabling a schedule
Disabling a schedule temporarily pauses automatic runs. The schedule settings are preserved, but the report doesn't run automatically until it's re-enabled.
When to disable it
- The report isn't needed for now (a campaign is paused, a project has ended)
- Debugging and testing a configuration
- Planned work on a data source (account change, restructuring)
- The destination sheet is moving to a new spreadsheet
- Precaution before deletion (an alternative to deleting immediately)
Step-by-step instructions
1. Open the schedule settings
Go to the report page and select the Schedule tab. Or open the report in edit mode and go to the Output > Schedule section.
2. Disable the schedule
Turn off the Enable schedule toggle. The system will show a confirmation: "Automatic runs will be paused. Schedule settings will be preserved."
3. Confirm
Click Confirm.
4. Verify the result
After disabling: the schedule indicator (green clock icon) disappears from the report list, scheduled runs are canceled, the next run in the report details changes to "Schedule disabled," and manual runs remain available.
How to re-enable it
- Open the schedule settings
- Switch the toggle to active
- Adjust the settings (if requirements have changed)
- Click Save
The schedule resumes from the nearest upcoming run time.
What happens to missed runs
When you disable the schedule, all scheduled but not-yet-occurred runs are canceled. When re-enabled, missed runs are not caught up — the system starts fresh.
Difference from deleting a report
| Action | Report data | History | Schedule | Destination sheet |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Disable schedule | Preserved | Preserved | Preserved (off) | Not affected |
| Delete report | Deleted | Deleted | Deleted | Not affected |
Disabling the schedule is a safe alternative to deletion when the report might be needed again in the future.
How to verify
- The schedule indicator is gone from the report list
- The next run shows "Schedule disabled"
- No automatic runs appear in the history
- Manual runs work as usual
