Connecting Google Ads

Google Ads connects to LightLead via standard OAuth 2.0 with the Google API. This requires a Google account with access to Google Ads.

Prerequisites

1. Google account with access to Google Ads (admin or standard user with report access)
2. Google Ads Customer ID — a 10-digit account identifier (format: XXX-XXX-XXXX)
3. Enabled Google Ads API — must be activated in Google Cloud Console

Connection Steps

Step 1. Start

1. Go to Integrations → Ad Connectors → Google Ads
2. Click Connect
3. You'll be redirected to the Google authorization page

Step 2. Google Authorization

On the Google OAuth page:

1. Sign in to the Google account that has access to Google Ads
2. Grant the requested permissions
3. Confirm access to Google Ads API data

Requested permission:

• google_ads_read — read Google Ads data

Step 3. Select Account

After authorization:

1. LightLead retrieves the list of available Google Ads accounts
2. Select the desired account by Customer ID
3. Click Confirm

Step 4. Verify

Connector status changes to Active. Initial data load begins automatically.

Where to Find Customer ID

You can find Customer ID in the Google Ads interface:

1. Sign in to Google Ads
2. Click the profile icon in the top-right corner
3. Customer ID appears in the dropdown (format XXX-XXX-XXXX)
4. Also available in Settings → Account Settings
